Process with traditional scissors

Traditional scissor cutting requires you to cut paper cardboard first,cover each piece of cardboard on the piled fabric then,outline route next,and begin cutting finally.

Since it's multiple-layer cutting,the deeper you cut,the more distorition and fraying for the cut pieces.For the distortion and fraying,you have to spend time and labor to rework the pieces.If the outline is not drawn well,fabric waste is impossible to be avoided.
